How to Unlock Pontoon Bridges in Delverium

The pontoon recipe comes from a Merchant NPC's discovery gift. Find the appropriate merchant, check the gift dialogue, and collect the reward before returning to the crafting menu. In the September 27–28 Early Access discussion, the developer corrected the idea that it was a random boss drop.

Unlock the pontoon recipe

1. Find a Merchant NPC and start a conversation. Check the merchant's role rather than following a fixed character name or a coordinate from another world.
2. Look for the gift or discovery-reward dialogue. A player in the same thread describes claiming the gift from the appropriate general-goods merchant.
3. Collect the reward, then return to your crafting menu and look for the pontoon recipe.
4. Once the recipe is visible, use the materials and quantities shown by your own game to craft it.

If you already have hardwood but no recipe

Having hardwood does not complete the merchant-gift step. Return to the merchant and check whether you have claimed the discovery reward. The developer's answer directs players to this gift, so continuing to farm bosses for the recipe follows the wrong unlock route.

If the gift has already been collected and the recipe is still absent, note which merchant you spoke to and what reward you received before reporting the problem in the source thread. A particular NPC name, universal spawn location and complete crafting ingredient list are not established by that discussion.

The pontoon recipe appears in the crafting list. This guide covers finding its unlock; it does not promise a fixed bridge length or a material cost for every Early Access build.
